Award for Children's Choir
In July 2006, Taplow Children's Choir sang at the Final of the National Festival of Music for Youth (Junior Choral Category) and won the Outstanding Award. They competed against 21 other choirs from around the UK. They reached the final again in 2009 and sung in the Symphony Hall, Birmingham.

The Children's Choir is fun and is open to boys and girls Year 3 to Year 7. They sing lots of songs in various styles, receive invitations to perform in exciting venues and generally work hard and enjoy themselves. Why not consider joining? Come along on any Saturday in term time to Taplow Village Centre from 10.00am - 11.00am. Click here for directions to Taplow

THE LAST FEW YEARS

In November 2008 the choir were filmed for transmission as part of the BBC2 series 'The Choir' - Choir Master Gareth Malone brought his new Children's Choir from South Oxley to Taplow Court, as he wanted them to hear and work with an established Children's Choir.

In March 2009, the Children's Choir took part in a Festival of Choirs at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Maidenhead and a group from the choir also made recordings for the National Sing Up! campaign. The choir has recruited very well and runs with a steady membership of over 40 young voices.
